Allegations made that the excavator did not perform satisfactorily and the main boom and hydraulic cylinder were defective.
Work completed:
- Examined the excavator in its working environment – a demolition site in London.
- Witnessed the excavator work and perform fully extended operations.
- Reviewed maintenance.
- Measured the lateral clearance in the bearing shims of the main boom.
- Removed the main hydraulic cylinder rods for macro surface inspection.
- Attended meeting of experts.
- Work reported in written form for the Court
